This is Ted signing on for a debut blog. I couldn't pass on the opportunity to share some of the photos from our latest adventure. Hunter and I drove for 3 hours with friends to be on the Fathers and Sons camp out this past weekend. The camp out was held at the coast, although we did not take in any of the salt water ourselves. We headed out on Friday about 4:30 pm. Blaine, the other father and I, were pretty proud to report that we did not have to make our first "pit stop" for 30 full minutes. Once we had our Happy Meals, chocolate milk, chicken McNuggets and burger we were on our way again and life was looking pretty good. It was actually smooth sailing and the portable DVD player that Blaine had packed payed off. The trip was a success and one that will leave me with plenty of memories. I could not ask for a better son. The only thing more exciting than taking Hunter camping again is to think of taking both Hunter and Jackson camping. Attached are a few photo highlights of the trip.
The campout began with the tent being set up on the first try. All parts and accessories were accounted for (check)
Hunter was able to sleep in his "Thomas the Train" sleeping bag with build in inflatable mattress (no kid should camp without one of these).
Pancakes are always a winner for breakfast. Hunter enjoyed his share and when others were not looking even took a stab for their pancakes.
There was never a moment of down time. When there was not a formal activity, Hunter and the boys would simply chase eachother around a tree (I have forgotten how simple life can be...).
In between running around trees, chasing the birds and eating pancakes, Hunter found that he has a knack for climbing trees...

Looks like tons of fun. We haven't been camping forever, I am looking forward to it this summer.
Wow, you survived! Looks like you had fun.
