If you were to ask...

If you were to ask Ted & I if we say the word "stupid" we would probably say, "No, not usually." But we've come to find out, with the help of our two little boys that we say "stupid" more than we would ever have imagined. Yesterday in the car, Ted was telling me something, to which my reply was, "Well, that is stupid." And you hear a little voice from the back say, "WE DON'T SAY STUPID MOM." Later that evening Ted must have said something was "stupid", because yet again we hear, "WE DON'T SAY STUPID DAD." So round and round we go, and I am quite suprised that I DO say stupid! So we really do have to check ourselves.

Lately Hunter's thing is to quote movies & he is quite good at it. He may be our little drama king. This is what he has been quoting lately...

"Look, I'm Picasso!"
"You uncultured swine, what are you lookin' at ya hockey puck!"
(Why do they have to pick up on all the negative, sarcastic quotes?)

"You can't fly."
"CAN."
"CAN'T"
"CAN! I can fly around this room with my eyes closed."
"Alright then Mr. Space Ranger, prove it."
"Alright, I will..To infinity and beyond...."
(This goes on & on..Hunter & Jackson take turns being Buzz & Woody, and they are both wearing their Buzz costumes)

(This quote is from "Return to Never Land")
"A good Captain always goes down with the ship"
"BUT I DON'T WANT TO BE A GOOD CAPTAIN!"

The Queen Mary

Last week we went with Ted to L.A. It's been almost a year since we've been there. We enjoyed going to downtown disney & swimming at the hotel pool. One night we picked Ted up from work, he drove us down to Long Beach and we went aboard the Queen Mary. You should have seen the boys faces when we pulled up alongside the ship. They couldn't get over how big the "pirate ship" was & Jackson was determined to see some sharks in the water, he then decided that they were sleeping?!

Happy New Year 2010

"This Christmas (New Year), mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. For go a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize, try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love and then speak it again. To give of oneself is a Holy Gift." -President Howard W. Hunter

Grateful...

This morning I woke up and thought, "Oh my goodness, it has been exactly one year today that I had my not so fun surgery, I was 18 weeks pregnant. And today my baby is 7 months old!" I held him, thought about this past year and felt extremely grateful.

Santa brought me a new camera for Christmas. I bet you will not be able to pick which one is from the new & which is from my old cute pink camera! I am kind of going to miss blurry pictures. I was getting pretty good at it.

We just found a disc with pictures from our Honeymoon & first year of marriage. They are classic. Here I am below in my favorite Calvin Klein overalls I bought from Costco! I had totally forgotten about those beauties! Could overalls still be in? Actually they probably weren't in even then, that was 8 years ago, December 2001!

Thanksgiving 2009

These little Indians sang... (to the tune of "If your happy & you know it clap your hands.")
"Hello Mr. Turkey how are you,
Hello Mr. Turkey how are you,
With a gobble, gobble, gobble
and a wobble, wobble, wobble,
Hello Mr. Turkey how are you."
